Every year as part of the larger Microsoft corporate giving campaign, the opportunity for an employee to be featured on the Microsoft homepage is auctioned off.

This year I was responsible for art directing a photoshoot, retouching the selected image, and compositing everything together to create a hero banner for the homepage that featured this year’s donor’s passion for gaming.

Our donor is passionate about cars and Xbox gaming. it was no surprise that Forza is his favorite. The donor put his best racing face on and pretended to race for all he was worth.

I wanted to evoke a feeling of intensity and engagement and enjoyment. Even if the gamer is solitary he or she is not lonely
